Bathroom Renovation NZ is the reference directory for bathroom renovation in Aotearoa: 12 LBP-registered renovators across 8regions, indexed against a single, published scope vocabulary. The directory exists because most New Zealand bathroom quotes can’t be compared like-for-like — scope language varies firm-to-firm. We define the three scopes once, then match homeowners with renovators who quote against them the same way.

§01Listing standards

Listings must hold current Licensed Building Practitioner registration, partner with at least one Master Plumber on works behind tile, and demonstrate a BRANZ-tested waterproofing system on a recently completed project. Each criterion is verified by phone and by documentation before publication, and reviewed annually thereafter. Placement is not for sale — ranking is editorial, full stop.

§02How matching works

A submitted quote request is routed to up to three renovators in the relevant region whose scope and budget shape align with the brief. If a homeowner proceeds with one of those renovators, the renovator pays a 1–2% success fee on completion. The fee is itemised on the renovator’s quote so it’s visible to the homeowner. Homeowners are never charged.

§03Scope of the directory

• Installation work is performed by listed renovators, not by the directory.
• Renovator phone numbers are not published on listing pages; enquiries are handled through a structured intake form.
• User reviews are not hosted here by design. Reviews belong on Google and Houzz, where provenance is auditable.
• Bathroom design is delivered by listed renovators, working with in-house designers or one engaged by the homeowner.
